These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the SilverSwap online marketplace ("the Platform"). By accessing or using SilverSwap, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
SilverSwap Ltd ("we", "us", "our") provides a platform that enables users to list items, communicate, and arrange exchanges valued using silver weight. We do not act as a seller, buyer, broker, or intermediary in any trade.
Users must use SilverSwap's messaging system for all communication related to listings, trades, and disputes. Messaging outside the platform (such as via email, SMS, or social media) is discouraged, as it reduces user protection and limits our ability to review issues if needed.

SilverSwap is a peer‑to‑peer marketplace. We:
Users negotiate and complete trades directly with each other.
Users value items using silver weight as a reference and physically exchange silver for goods. SilverSwap:
Silver weight is a user‑agreed reference, not a settlement mechanism.
SilverSwap does not guarantee the authenticity of silver traded on the platform and it is up to users to validate all silver bullion. Guidance for this can be found using the Silver Authenticity Checklist under our How It Works section. But these used alone are not an absolute guarantee of authenticity.

Every completed exchange includes an Exchange Protection and Platform Fee. This fee is 10% of the current silver spot price for the amount being exchanged, split evenly between both parties (5% each).
Example: If an item is exchanged for 1 oz of silver and the spot price is £55, the seller pays £2.75 and the buyer pays £2.75.

We do not provide specific guidance for users meeting in person, but in general we recommend users should meet in well-lit public locations, ideally CCTV-covered areas. Users trade at their own risk.
SilverSwap is not a party to any transaction between users and does not mediate or resolve disputes. Users are responsible for communicating with each other and settling any disagreements directly.
If a concern is raised through our support system, SilverSwap may review the information provided to ensure the platform is being used in line with our Terms, but we do not intervene in or determine the outcome of user disputes.
SilverSwap monitors activity on the platform to help prevent fraud, money‑laundering, and misuse. We may request identity verification, review reported activity, and suspend or close accounts where we detect suspicious behaviour.
We maintain appropriate records to support fraud prevention and anti‑money‑laundering (AML) controls.
Users must not use SilverSwap for any activity that breaches UK sanctions laws or regulations.
SilverSwap does not accept cash, cryptocurrency, or anonymous payments. All payments must be made through our authorised third‑party payment provider.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
